The Family of Thomas William Davies.
Father of T.W.Davies was Thomas Morris Davies, from Kenchester Court, near Hereford, the son of John and Mary Davies. Brother of John Davies was the Reverend Edward Davies (1756-1831). He was a well known professor and he wrote books, one of which is owned by Elaine Hill (4.1). Edward Ludwych Davies was the cousin of John and Edward, and his son was a famous staff administrator in the army of Queen Victoria. Thomas Morris Davies (b.21/1/1800) married Elizabeth Nutt on 11/12/1835. She was from Lillands, Little Marcle, Herefordshire. There were eight children from this marriage. Thomas M. Davies died 26/8/1854 in Credenhill, Hereford. He was buried in the parish cemetary. He had been a farmer.

Thomas William Davies was the second son of T.M.Davies born on 20/11/1840 in Kenchester Court, Hereford. He was co-owner of the firm Smith & Co: Brush manufacturers in Worcester (Pheasant Street). This firm was sold after the death of Neville Davies (4.2) On the site of the old firm is now a new factory for the manufacture of large metal casings.
1866: 41 High Street, Worcester (Now Woolworths!)
1901: 3 St. Grange Street, Worcester (overlooking a beautiful area of common land, with St. Georges Church on the right. It had it's own lovely garden and everything is still as it was - unchanged by time!)
1917: Ivy Bank Britania Square Worcester (Now a double House, looking westwards over the racecourse and river. Also has own lovely garden)

T.W.Davies wrote a Family Chronicle which is now with Elaine Hill (4.1) - it was on some pages of the family Bible.
T.W.Davies married Hannah Blashill on 26/4/1866 at Bridge Sollers (Knapp Farm) north-west of Hereford. T.W.& H.Davies had three daughters and four sons, who are marked 1-7 on the Family survey. The children went to King's School, near the Cathedral in Worcester. There may be some sort of plaque of sponsors (?) in the school showing the Davies name (ask Elaine Hill for relevant information)
The name Davies is common in England. A photo album, containing photos of "Grannie" Hannah Davies, her children and grand children is now with Erika Schmidt (4.1.2) in Kassel.

He went to Cambridge and studied Geography. He was also good at Hockey.
